CNOC Summer Series 2018 No 4 - Newbridge Sprint

The final points-scoring race of this years series takes place around the schools, parks and estates of Newbridge, Co. Kildare. A maze of roads, walls and buildings will demand good map reading skills at high speed if you want to earn those vital last league points!
This event is also being run as part of the Newbridge Junefest, so we expect higher-than-normal numbers of new orienteers to turning up to have a go!

Car parking & Registration is in St. Conleths & Marys primary school car park, opposite St. Conleths Parish church in Newbridge.

Start Times from 18:00 to 19:30.

There will be three courses on offer, suitable for all abilities:

* Adventure Course (1.2km, 12 controls)
* Medium Course (2.4km, 14 controls)
* Long Course (3.4km, 18 controls)

These are sprint format races - sprint rules apply - uncrossable boundaries and out-of-bounds areas must be respected or competitors risk disqualification.

Entry fees (Junefest specials) are as follows:

* Child/Adult €5
* Family €10 (2 adults + kids)

If you need to hire an SI card, we also rent them for €2, to be returned at the finish. Lost cards cost €40 to replace!

If you're not a member of a club, and would like to join CNOC on the night, we're offering free membership for the first year (its only €7 a year per adult after that anyways - full rates on cnoc.ie)

If you are planning on bringing a group, it would be useful to contact us ahead of time, so we can ensure we print enough maps, etc. We also offer a discounted rate for pre-booked youth groups - message us for details.

Since the series has four scoring events this year, your best three results will count towards league placings. Similarly, juniors who take part in any three events will get a small token at the prizegiving following the last event on 19th June.
