Summer Series 2018 No 3 - Curragh at Sunnyhill

More orienteering fun on the fast grassy plains of the Curragh. The Sunnyhill end of the Curragh is a maze of trenches, gorse bushes and old shooting ranges, which add some navigational challenges to a fast course.

Start Times from 18:00 to 19:30.

There will be three courses on offer, suitable for all abilities:

* Adventure Course (1.9km)
* Medium Course (4.9km)
* Long Course (7.5km)

Entry fees are as follows:

* Child/Student/Unwaged/OAP €5 (€4 for CNOC members)
* Adult €8 (€7 for CNOC members)
* Family €20. (€15 for CNOC members)

If you need to hire an SI card, we also rent them for €2, to be returned at the finish. Lost cards cost €40 to replace!

If you're not a member of a club, and would like to join CNOC on the night, we're offering free membership for the first year (its only €7 a year per adult after that anyways - full rates on cnoc.ie)

If you are planning on bringing a group, it would be useful to contact us ahead of time, so we can ensure we print enough maps, etc. We also offer a discounted rate for pre-booked youth groups - message us for details.

Car parking is on the grass beside the road at the following location: https://goo.gl/maps/FG1hbZ5J6ev (at the turn for the Curragh BnB, near the Kilsaran quarry entrance. Best approach is from the Athy Road out of Kilcullen, reachable via the M7/M9 if coming from Dublin.

Since the series has five events this year, your best three results will count towards league placings. Similarly, juniors who take part in any three events will get a small token at the prizegiving following the last event on 19th June.
