The first event in this years Summer series takes place around the parks and estates of the Lakelands part of Naas town. Fast and furious running, combined with navigating a maze of estates and green areas, make for great orienteering.
Start Times from 18:00 to 19:30.
There will be three courses on offer, suitable for all abilities:
* Adventure Course (1.2km, 14 Controls)
* Medium Course (2.8km, 16 Controls)
* Long Course (4.8Km, 22Controls.)
Entry fees are as follows:
* Child/Student/Unwaged/OAP €5 (€4 for CNOC members)
* Adult €8 (€7 for CNOC members)
* Family €20. (€15 for CNOC members)
If you need to hire an SI card, we also rent them for €2, to be returned at the finish. Lost cards cost €40 to replace!
If you're not a member of a club, and would like to join CNOC on the night, we're offering free membership for the first year (its only €7 a year per adult after that anyways - full rates on cnoc.ie)
If you are planning on bringing a group, it would be useful to contact us ahead of time, so we can ensure we print enough maps, etc. We also offer a discounted rate for pre-booked youth groups - message us for details.
Car parking will be at the Staff carpark situated North of the HSE St. Mary's Building in the grounds of Naas Hospital. Enter the main entrance to Naas Hospital and keep left - follow the road down between some buildings, then at T junction take left. The Staff carpark is here on the left (our registration tents will be pitched around here) and will empty out from 17:30pm. There are no pay machines in the Staff carpark and clamping will not happen on the evening. However bear in mind, if you park in a different car park where there are pay machines you will need to pay.
Since the series has five events this year, your best three results will count towards league placings. Similarly, juniors who take part in any three events will get a small token at the prizegiving following the last event on 19th June.
