Thanks to everyone who took part in the first of the summer series events yesterday evening on the Curragh. Results are available on the Irish Orienteering website here. Routegadget is also up - this is a program where you can draw in your route and compare to others who ran the same course.
Huge thanks to all of the helpers on the evening - Bernie on registration, Kevin on the start, Killian, Don, Senan and Kevin who took in the controls and Ruth for uploading the results.
The next event will be an urban race in Naas next Tuesday, May 24th, with starts from 18:30 to 19:30. Further course details will be posted here later this week. In the meantime, you can check out the map from last year here.

MTBO on the Curragh
CNOC are holding the first Mountain bike Orienteering event in this years league on the 15th of May.
Due to difficulties with permits from Coillte the event will be on the Curragh rather than in Trooperstown as previously advertised.
The courses will be fast and furious and hopefully fun. There are three courses to choose from:
Short 2km 8 controls (pin punches)
Medium 9km 16 controls
Long 18km 27 controls
The short is suitable for complete novices and has independent controls from other courses so people can try it out and decide if they want to try the medium or long course afterwards.
Starts are from the NCO's Mess in the Curragh Camp from 11:00 to 12:00.
Directions: The event will be signposted from the post office in the Curragh camp. There is a barrier that will lift if you drive up to it.
The Maps are A3 and will not be on waterproof paper so it would be advisable to bring a bag.
